Fleur de Lys Has Bad (Earth) Luck

Fleur de Lys

Fleur de Lys

I’ve seen this home before in the Robb Report and other high net worth magazines only the pictures I saw didn’t show the home for sale but rather showed it as a backdrop for a sales pitch for security dogs.  The house always jumped out at me because it looks so bleak and empty.  So when I saw it today in a news article I decided to look it up.

It turns out that New York socialite Suzanne Saperstein has had the house on the market for over a year at a listing price of $125 million.  She listed the home shortly after divorcing her husband David I. Saperstein, a Texas millionaire.  After all, what is a single woman going to do with a 53,000 sq. ft. home, 15 bedrooms, a 9 car garage and an Olympic sized swimming pool?

It took 5 years to build the home and the couple divorced less than 5 years after it was built which made me curious about the feng shui.  So let’s take a look at this picture and see what’s going on:

Zillow Fleur de Lys

This is an aerial view of the house (the blue mark with the $125 is the home).  You can see that the driveway leading up to the house initially curves in from the main road but then comes in as a straight line, like an arrow, into the parking area in front of the home.

If you look at the picture at the top of this article you can see the driveway shoots right into the front door of the home.  In feng shui we call this a poison arrow because it creates a fast, negative flow of energy right into the house (hint if your house shopping: no poison arrows into the front door).

This is always bad for the people living in a home and given the facing direction of the front door it would be hardest on the ‘father figure’ in the family, which would have been David Saperstein.

On top of this the house has two really terrible feng shui Flying Stars on the front door.  Here’s what I mean: every home, office, storage space, building has feng shui ‘stars’ built into it and these are part of the structure.  It’s difficult to change these stars without doing major renovation so it’s better to plan the feng shui of the building first then built it, not the other way around.

Feng shui isn’t interior decorating. It’s the use and movement of energy so hanging wind chimes in a crappy building isn’t going to help the feng shui anymore than cologne is going to cover up body odor.  You need to move.

Had Suzanne and David Saperstein known this BEFORE they built their home, Fleur de Lys, they would never have positioned the home the way they did on the property.  And since they had 5 acres to work with they had the option of building it however they wanted.

Okay, so back to the Flying Stars on the front doors.  On every front door of every home there are two Flying Stars: one Star tells you what kind of luck you will experience in your health and relationships and the other tells you what kind of financial luck you will have.

Fleur de Lys has double Robbery Stars on the front door meaning a loss of money and loss of relationships.  I’ve done consultations on homes with double Robbery Stars on them and I can tell you there’s not much you can do about it.  In every case the couples had separated, had experienced bankruptcy or major financial loss and the soon-to-be ex-wives called me to see if I could help them fix their lives with feng shui.

The truth is you have to get out of a house like this because the energy of the Robbery Stars are just too strong.  There are remedies you can use to help reduce the effects but it will never be a good home to live in because it will be hard on your marriage/partnership and hard on you financially.

Now that you know this you can see how feng shui contributed to this couple’s divorce.

It’s possible that Suzanne Saperstein will sell the house this year because there’s a great yearly feng shui Flying Star on her front door (this is different than the one built into the house) but getting $125 million for it may be a stretch.

Oh, and by the way, if you’re in the market for a new home in L.A. don’t buy this one because it will end up costing you a lot more than the asking price.

Before you buy a home be sure to get the feng shui checked out first.  Find out more here:  http://www.palmbeachfengshui.com/Feng_Shui_Consultations_Chriss_Barr.html
