This month is a weird month in feng shui terms.  There are a lot of feng shui Flying Stars that can create troublesome combinations and one of those is the Disaster Star/Water Star combination.  These two Flying Stars come together to create water related disasters so you want to make sure you have your life jackets if you go out on your boat this month. 

Be more careful in the shower or bath as slips and falls are more likely.  And make sure your hot tub cover is on when you’re not using it and the safety screen around your pool is set up when you’re finished swimming.

Bad *Feng Shui* Timing for House Health Care Bill

The Democrats in the House of Representatives have put their new 1,990 page Health Care Bill on the table and it is now up for discussion.  It doesn’t appear that this new version has enough votes to pass though and the Republican’s have drafted their own 230 page bill which no one is expecting to pass either.

So for the next 72 hours Representatives will be reading every page of the 1,990 page bill OUT LOUD so that everyone can hear what it has to offer.  They expect it will take until late Friday or Saturday to get through the whole thing.

The challenge is that November 6th (Friday) is a new month in feng shui and all of the Flying Stars will shift from their present position to new locations.  And this year the Flying Star on government, families and health care is terrible to begin with the change to a new month with an equally difficult Star isn’t going to help the government get this health care reform bill through.

Here’s what’s happening:  This year the Violence/Robbery Star sits on the area of the feng shui bagua that governs families, health and government.

We’ve all seen this Star’s ‘robbery’ side in action– millions of people have lost their jobs and incomes, the government has spent money it doesn’t have bailing out companies that, despite your tax dollars, are still going bankrupt each day, the value of the dollar has fallen over 6% this year and on and on.

We’ve seen the ‘violent’ side of this Star too.  People are angry with the government and vocalizing their complaints, home invasions are on the rise, U.S. citizens protesting the G-20 were beat up and harassed by police.  Anger and violence have definitely set the mood this year.

As volatile as the Robbery/Violence Star can make things we have another Star that is helping to fuel this energy even more beginning November 6th and that Star is the Conflict Star.

Mix Robbery/Violence with Conflict and you have a recipe for lots of shouting, angry debate and legal action.  (FYI try not to stir things up in the east area of your home because this is where all this energy sits from Nov. 6 to Dec. 6, 2009.)

Not only that but Washington, D.C. lies geographically in the Eastern part of the United States which means that your Representatives, Senators and the White House are going to feel this energy even more.

This will not be the month they will see eye to eye but you can bet you will hear some great speeches (if not outright yelling) and mud slinging from both sides of the aisle.

If the bill survives the year it has a much better chance of getting passed in 2010 because the Windfall Star sits on government, health and families next year.  This may be better for everyone in the long-run as it could give both sides enough time to really sit down together and come up with a realistic plan that’s palatable to both sides.

In any case the feng shui Flying Stars aren’t helping this already weakly supported health care bill.

UPDATE 11/8/09:

The House passed their version of the bill sometime after 10:30pm last night and the Republicans actually supported the Bill.   Here’s how it happened.

The moderate Democrats said they would vote against it partially because the Bill allows federal funds to go for voluntary abortions.  So President Obama & Nancy Pelosi met with them late Friday night and said, “Ok if you’ll vote for the Bill we’ll allow for a vote on an amendment that will prevent federal funds for abortions.”

So around 9:30 or 10 last night the ENTIRE House (Rep and Dems) voted on this amendment.

Now, you would think that since the Republicans knew that this amendment needed to pass in order for the Dems to get enough votes for the Bill they would vote against the amendment thereby blocking the Bill right?

As I was watching the vote all but 1 of the Republicans voted FOR the amendment and about 65% of the Democrats voted AGAINST it.  So without the Republicans the Bill would not have passed.

It appears that the positive effects of feng shui on language and speaking won out over the negative energy of arguing which is a good thing.

Anthony Sowell’s Neighborhood

This weekend 50 year old registered sex offender Anthony Sowell received an unexpected visit from police who were there to arrest him on new rape charges brought against him by a neighbor.

The Cleveland, OH police ended up getting more than they bargained for.  With search and arrest warrants in hand they entered Sowell’s house to find six decomposing bodies of women he had killed.  Two were on the third floor.  One was buried in the backyard.  Two were in a crawl space under the stairs and the sixth one was in another room of the house.

Apparently the neighbors knew something was going on because of the stentch of rotting bodies coming from his home.  You’d think the parole officer visiting Sowell on Sept. 22, 2009 would have picked up on this.  And why didn’t his neighbors report their suspicions?

It turns out that it may have  been Anthony Sowell’s personal feng shui that gave him away.  The timing of the arrest certainly points to it.

This year Anthony Sowell has the same feng shui energy working against him that Jon Gosselin of the reality show Jon & Kate Plus 8. In other words, not good.

In fact there is one particular feng shui Flying Star that is working against both Sowell and Gosselin this year and that is the Conflict Star on their Success direction which is tied to their careers.

The Conflict Star brings arguments, lawsuits, problems with the law, fighting and even divorce.  Given Sowell’s ‘career’ as a rapist and murderer this Star means that he will experience problems in his ability to kill and rape women.  I know, I know…this is a sick thing to even say but he is who he is and so his ability to Succeed at his ‘job’ (as he sees it) is going to be limited with this Star.  Constant roadblocks, pushback from other people and the law are going to get in his way. 

At the time of his arrest on October 29, 2009 the energy of this Conflict Star was doubled meaning that of all the months this year this is the one that would most likely give Sowell big trouble. 

The other Star that has not helped him this year is the Star of New Beginnings on his Relationship direction.  This is the Star that got Jon Gosselin in trouble if you remember back to the breaking news of his affair behind his wife’s back.

For Sowell this Star has also created a ‘new beginning’ in his Relationships.  The police believe that two of the bodies in Sowell’s home could have been there for at least two years.  So for the past two years he has been getting away with murdering and raping women in his neighborhood.

But with the lucky escape of his latest rape victim back in September all of this changed for Sowell.  A ‘new beginning’ (or should I say return?) to his life as a prisoner is in his cards.  His relationships will no longer be with people on the outside but on the inside of prison walls.

So why didn’t this happen for him sooner?  The feng shui Flying Star gives clues about the timing because in October Anthony Sowell had the Violence Star sitting with the Star of New Beginnings on his Relationship direction.  This brought to light his violent behavior towards his victims in a way that allowed him to get caught.

Why President Obama Can’t Commit to McChrystal’s Request for More Troops

When President Obama was candidate Obama he promised Americans that we would he would end the war in Iraq if elected.   Well, he never said anything about Afghanistan did he?

Perhaps that’s why he can’t make a decision about General Stanley McChrystal’s request for 40,000 more troops.

But I think it’s a feng shui issue.

You see General McChrystal has the same feng shui number as John McCain, Obama’s former challenger for the sacred spot as President of the United States.  McCain and Obama certainly didn’t see eye-to-eye so it’s very likely that President Obama and 4 Star General McChrystal don’t either.

What’s even trickier in the relationship of these two men is that they share the same personal feng shui directions.  Obama’s Success direction is South which is McChrystal’s personal Relationship direction. 

This year the feng shui Flying Star in the South is the Relationship Star and this means that President Obama can easily win the support of people in his role as President of the U.S.  Even if he makes decisions that are not popular overall the energy of this Star serves as protection of sorts and makes people more forgiving toward him.

The way it works for General McChrystal is that he is able to really connect with his troops and even the people of Afghanistan.  Everyone is much more likely to trust him with this Star on his side. 

So with this great feng shui Star working for these two men why can’t President Obama decide what to do?  Well there are probably lots of political reasons we don’t have privvy to but we can look at what the feng shui energy is doing.

Well that’s because President Obama  has a feng shui Flying Star that is causing him trouble when it comes to making decisions and that’s the Violence Star on his Wisdom direction.  Your Wisdom direction is tied to formal learning, advice from others and your gut instincts.  The Violence Star has a tendency to encourage you to spend money beyond your budget, to make choices that are financially costly or that can even bankrupt you. 

It can also mean that you make choices that result in violence or that decisions you’re faced with create an internal battle within you.

For President Obama the Violence Star has publicly shown itself through major financial losses.  The stimulus package cost taxpayers billions of dollars that have resulted in weakening dollar.  There’s no evidence the stimulus is helping the economy  for the long run and in fact the White House has said that any effects it has are likely over.  Economists all over the world are even speculating the U.S. could easily go bankrupt.  

And that’s all before we even consider the taxpayer cost of a national health care plan or hints at additional stimulus money being pumped into the economy.

Whenever the Violence Star shows its one side so strongly (in this case the financial loss side) the other side (the violent side) is not as apparent.  And since President Obama promised Americans he’d be bringing troops home rather than sending more in the violent side of this Star is likely even more suppressed. 

It doesn’t mean he’ll say no to McChrystal it just means that passing bills to spend more money is going to be more appealing to him that fighting.

James Ray’s Deadly Sweat Lodge & Flying Star Feng Shui

Today I opened up my computer and found a story that astounded me.  James Arthur Ray, one of the spiritual mentors who appeared in the movie The Secret, held what he calls a Spiritual Warrior retreat in Sedona, AZ last week.  As part of this $9,000 retreat the 55-65 participants took part in a sweat lodge to help them move past their personal limitations.

Unfortunately this event resulted in the deaths of 2 people and 19 others had to be hospitalized.

The reports I found said that the sweat lodge was built by James Ray’s staff out of non-breathable material.   Experts in American Indian traditions said that the two hour sweat lodge also went on far too long and had too many participants.

Ray’s company is being investigated now and the term ‘charlatan’ and ‘con artist’ are being used when it comes to James Ray himself. 

Because he is seen as a guru in the spiritual mentoring industry I thought I’d take a look and see what’s going on for him right now and it says a lot.

This year James Arthur Ray has two feng shui Flying Stars that are not in his favor and those are the Illness Star on his Wisdom direction and the Conflict Star on his Relationship direction.  Both these Stars can create problems in different ways.

The Illness Star on his Wisdom direction means that choices he makes this year whether personal or professional could lead to self-inflicted stress.  And because his Wisdom direction is tied to creativity the decision to have his staff build the sweat lodge for the Spiritual Warrior retreat could very well have been the trigger that launched this stress he’s created for himself.

Then the Conflict Star sitting on Ray’s Relationship direction adds to this situation by attracting problems with people in his life and in this case the people were his clients.  Not only does the Conflict Star bring problems but it can also bring arguments and lawsuits and that is surely what Ray and his company will be facing after such a disasterous outcome at one of his seminars.  On October 8th, when the sweat lodge took place, the energy of the Conflict Star was doubled making this Star even more powerful.

At the time of the deaths and injuries that resulted from this event he had another Flying Star working against him, the Violence Star, which was sitting on his Career direction.  The Violence Star can bring injury, death and even financial loss through lawsuits. 

If I were looking at James Ray’s personal feng shui and Flying Stars I would have recommened that he pick another month to hold an event like this because Flying Star feng shui can greatly influence your chances of success or failure.  When the Stars are working against you it’s better to sit back and wait.  When the Stars are working for you it’s time to jump in and take action.

Nobel Peace Prize Baffling and Ironic, But Perfect Feng Shui

Today is one of those days that started off with confusion, disagreement and even irony all packed into about a 1 hour span of time.

First, the Nobel Peace Prize winner for 2009 was announced in Norway.  When the name Obama was said the whole room filed with stares of disbelief and confusion. 

Apparently President Obama has made quite an impression on the Prize Committee members by doing absolutely nothing in the short time he’s been in office.  Now if only Bono Vox, Leuren Moret and other people who are working diligently to bring about world peace would just STOP doing anything they just might have a chance at winning.  I hope they’re taking notes for future reference.

Then less than an hour after the Nobel annoucement the U.S. bombed the moon. 

Now I understand that the bomb wasn’t for war purposes but don’t you think it’s really ironic that a U.S. President would get a Peace Prize an hour before we send a bomb into new territory?  You couldn’t plan the timing any better than that.

But the other feng shui Flying Star that was triggered when President Obama was announced as the winner of the Nobel Peace Prize is the Double Conflict Star in the area of feng shui tied to Wisdom.  The way it’s being played out is that people are in disbelief and even disagreement with the Prize Committee’s choice for this award.  In other words the world is questioning their Wisdom.

Normally the media doesn’t comment on things that seem controversial but even Matt Lauer of the Today show was questioning the Committee’s decision right after the annoucement was made.  After all Obama joins the ranks of such prestigious winners as Doctors Without Borders, Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King Jr. 

When you put them all together you get something that brings that Sesame Street song to mind: One of These Things Is Not Like the Others. 

The Prize Committee can say whatever it wants but people aren’t stupid.

As we head into 2010 expect things to get more strange because next year’s feng shui energy will amplify what’s going on in the world even more.

Feng Shui Glimpse into Bombing the Moon

Tonight I almost fell out of my chair when I heard the national news headlines.  Here’s why.

The new month (in feng shui terms) begins October 8th.  On that day all of the feng shui Flying Stars change their location for the month and land in different areas of the feng shui bagua for the next 30 days.  This happens every month so there’s nothing unusual about that.

But what is unusual is that we have a Flying Star combination in the Center gua that only happens once every ten years and that is the Fire Star combining with the Military Star.  When these two Stars come together they double the energy of the Military Star and since the Center gua sets the overall ‘theme’ for the country each month news, discussions and events are going to revolve around this topic.

Now when I first  saw this I had a strong feeling that this mean an increase in fighting or even a possible new war somewhere on the planet.  It definitely bodes well for an increased military presence which could be local, state or even federal government in your own backyard.  In any case it felt very unsettling to me for some reason that I couldn’t quite explain.

And then I turned on the national news and heard that NASA will broadcast bombing the moon this Friday, the day after the energy of the double Military Star kicks in.   What’s even more strange is that the Military Star is also associated with the moon, stars and other planets.

So the moon is coming together with a military bomb in perfect feng shui timing.

How weird is THAT?

The Twisted World of Duncan O’Finioan, the CIA and Feng Shui

Have you ever heard of a guy named Robert Duncan O’Finioan?  I never had.   But then somehow I stumbled across a video on YouTube about him which you can find here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MIUgThru7JY   (When I dig around for feng shui ideas I end up in some weird places.)

In this interview he details a horrific life as a victim of the CIA’s MK ULTRA program.  I didn’t even know what MK Ultra was so I then had to go look that up.  Turns out that the U.S. government has confessed that it was a project carried out primarily on children to explore the effects of drugs like LSD and physical torture to control the mind.  And that’s the cleaned up version of what they did.

So the baffling thing to me is why we’re up in arms about the treatment of suspected terrorists at Guantanamo Bay but haven’t heard anyone make a peep about the victims of MK-ULTRA.  There’s something seriously wrong with our society.

On the plus side if the Obama administration gets its way and does go through with an investigation of the CIA I’m sure we’d hear a lot more about what’s going on now…maybe even more than we could stomach or, more importantly, be willing to tolerate.

Needless to say between Duncan O’Finioan’s personal story and what I discovered about MK ULTRA it not only made my skin crawl but it also made me wonder what his personal feng shui looked like at the time of his ‘indoctrination’ into MK ULTRA and then again at the time his interview was done.  What I found explains a lot.

O’Finioan was turned over by his parents to the CIA’s mind control program when he was just 6 years old.  Since I don’t have the month his father (who was in the CIA) and his mother turned him over all I can look at is the year.  At the time his personal feng shui could not have been worse making it the ideal year for such an insidious thing to happen to him.

Back in 1966 Duncan had a grouping of feng shui Flying Stars that were working against him.  Now when most children have a negative grouping of Stars it means someone takes their lunch money or they fall down and skin their knee skateboarding with friends.  If only that had been the case for O’Finioan his life would have turned out very differently.

Instead the Disaster Star on his Relationship direction turned into just that.  Imagine your parents turning you over to people who torture you into forgetting who you are by drugging you, sticking needles under your fingernails, and electrocuting you.  That is truly disasterous for anyone not to mention a small child. 

And because Duncan’s Relationship direction is directly tied to government and family it’s not surprising that this tragic end to his childhood would come from both of these groups of people.

If that weren’t enought he had the Conflict Star on his Success direction meant that his ability to carry out tasks he was assigned would create problems for him.  In fact the first test he was given was putting a puzzle together (there’s more to the story than this which you can see in the video) and because he could put this puzzle together in the way the CIA wanted him to he was selected for the MK ULTRA program.  So his unique abilities that the other children didn’t display certainly created major conflicts for this little boy.

And the final straw for Duncan was the Illness Star on his Health direction.  The Illness Star is usually more of a nuisance than anything but when you combine it with the Disaster and Conflict Stars you can get physical, metal and/or emotional abuse — all of which Duncan suffered at the tender age of 6.

One of the things he says in the video which Cathy O’Brien, another MK ULTRA victim, says as well is that the torture is so painful and the delivery so relentlessly brutal that you have one of two choices: 1) shut off your own personality and create a whole new persona (think the movie Sybil) or 2) die.

I believe the reason Ducan survived is because of the feng shui Star on his Wisdom direction, which is linked to both your mind and your soul.  Back in 1966 he had the Windfall Star there and this Star is all about getting lucky breaks through the decisions you make.  It sounds hard to believe but his choice to live, even under those conditions, was his lucky break.

But what about the timing of his interview on YouTube?  The feng shui Flying Stars are telling there too.

The interview took place back in 2006 when Duncan had the New Beginnings Star on his Relationship direction and this appears to be the beginning of his connections with people who could help him get his story out including Kerry Cassidy. 

He also had the Long-Term Abundance Star on his Success direction meaning that the long-term effects of getting his story out would bring him career success.  He may have even entered into an agreement or negotiations that year for rights to his story. 

His choice to make his story public likely caused him mental and emotional anguish.  He may have even felt physically drained by the whole thing because of the Illness Star on his Wisdom direction.  Yet at the same time his decision to bring the story out into the world when he did means that he thought long and hard about it first.  It was not an easy or knee-jerk decision.

It is fortunate for us that Duncan decided to share his story with the world.  Once you have heard it you will never think the same way about the world around you again.

The effects of Flying Star feng shui is not limited to just Duncan O’Finioan.  It affects you too and it’s either working for you or against you every month and every year. 

Yet unlike other predictive arts feng shui comes with remedies for the negative Stars and activations for the positive ones.   Make sure you have your remedies and activations working for you because it will lift the energy around you and help you to attract more positive experiences and people to your life.

Feng Shui Blackmails David Letterman

Last night David Letterman shocked his audience and the world by exposing a bribery attempt by CBS Producer Joe Halderman.  Halderman supposedly had incriminating evidence that Letterman had sexual relations with members of his staff, which Letterman admitted to on the on last night’s show.

You could tell by the audience’s reaction they thought he was kidding.

Turns out he was serious.

Letterman said he found a package in the back of his car last month with information and the blackmail threat.  As it turns out his personal feng shui was ripe for this kind of event at that point in time.

For starters he had a feng shui Flying Star combination on his Success direction that created problems and stress in his career.  No doubt a package of documents and photos laying out the details of sexual escapades with employees were enough to stress Letterman out about his career and what this news would do to his future in the business.

On top of this he had another feng shui Flying Star combination on his Wisdom direction that created the perfect energy for conflict, arguments and even legal problems.   So David Letterman’s decision to hire an attorney and take the matter to the district attorney’s office was not likely an easy decision for him but one he felt he had to make.

And finally the Flying Star combination on his Relationship direction was no picnic either.  In fact it was ideal for creating marital problems.  Do you think his wife Regina Lasko might have been a little upset about this news? 

So like a well orchestrated symphony Joe Halderman’s decision to blackmail David Letterman when he did timed beautifully with Letterman’s challenging feng shui for the month.

Interesting isn’t it?

This month’s timing for Halderman’s arrest and Letterman’s confession are also foretold in the Flying Stars.

Right now Letterman has the Star of New Beginnings on his Wisdom direction and his decision to tell all to the world last night is certainly something new.  This is very likely to change the way he thinks about a lot of things in his life but particularly his personal life.

His relationship with his wife and the public is not easy right now either.  In fact the whole situation is likely to leave him feeling mentally, emotionally and physically drained this month.

Now you may be thinking, “Well no kidding,” but the Flying Stars on his Relationship direction magnify the effects.  Beginning Oct. 7 this energy will ease up for Letterman though.

And finally the nabbing of Halderman after he tried to deposit the $2 millyon check he extorted from Letterman also tied right into feng shui because this month he had the Relationship Star in his Success direction working for him. 

What this turned out to mean for David Letterman is that people who could help him get out of the work related blackmail situation would be successful in helping him.  Turns out it worked out just the way it was supposed to.

Flying Star feng shui affects everyone and how it will affect you depends on what’s going on in your life and quite often how you’ve interacted with others in the past.

How Kate Gosselin’s Feng Shui Outshines Jon’s

I just read that the reality t.v. show Jon & Kate Plus Eight will now be Kate Plus Eight when the show resumes in November.

I’ve never watched the show but it seems to be quite popular so I thought I’d look at Kate Gosselin’s personal feng shui again. (See ‘No More Jon & Kate Plus 8? here: http://fengshuianddowsing.blogspot.com/2009/05/no-more-jon-kate-plus-8.html)

Kate’s personal feng shui number is an 8 (interesting that she would have eight children isn’t it?) and her Career direction is directly tied to motherhood.  Notice that her success in life has come from being a mother of eight children.  The motherhood role she has in real life is actually ideal for her career as a t.v. star so it makes sense she would continue the show even after divorcing her husband Jon Gosselin.

This year Kate has the Windfall Star on her Career direction meaning that landing her own show was probably a lucky break. 

Her soon to be ex-husband Jon’s Career direction has the Conflict Star on it this year so for him to continue on would not make sense.  Either he would resent it, he would have difficulty getting along with the t.v. producers or there would be some other conflict that would make it difficult for him to keep going with the show. 

Even now he’s rumored to be having trouble getting his next venture, the Divorced Dad’s Club, off the ground.  This is definitely not the year for him to start anything new.

But how will Kate do on her own?  Will the audience feel the same way about the show now that the focus is on her life as a single mom? 

Well, the Illness Star is on Kate’s Relationship direction this year which means that she’s going to have to work hard to get people to notice her and connect with her.  In fact she even made a post saying this may be the last season for the show because of falling ratings. 

But have no fear Kate has another plan up her sleeve.  She’s been getting the word out about her new talk show which is supposed to be geared towards working moms (again, the mom theme fits directly with her personal feng shui direction for career success) so this may turn out to be her real niche.

Kate’s not the only one who can use personal feng shui to manuever through life, you can do it too.
